This committee seeks to strengthen the relationship between Claverack's registered Democrats and their party. To accomplish this, the committee keeps contact lists and issue logs up to date so that voters can be reached by any of the party committees on appropriate occasions. We also encourage second-home owners to vote in Claverack, welcome newly registered voters, and coordinate general volunteer efforts. In addition, Voter Relations seeks to identify and maintain contact lists of voters registered to other parties who are likely to vote with us on some issues.
Finally, we intend to personalize voter contacts by recruiting a sufficient number of volunteers and assigning them to a manageable number of voters, with whom they will maintain contact so relationships can be developed. Ideally, voters will be contacted by someone they know when we make a drive to Get Out The Vote, or need to communicate about an important issue.
